About Us
Khidmatul A’waam was launched as a Section 21 Company (A company not for gain) in Gauteng in January 2008. We have public support across the country - Gauteng, Cape Town, KwaZulu Natal who shares the same concern and vision.
The aims and objective of Khidmatul A’waam is to take prospective pilgrims to the Holy lands for an affordable price. The body is a regional board with an executive group of trustees who oversees the day to day functions of this company and its projects.
"We believe that Hajj is an Amanaat (trust) and it is a duty of every Muslim to safeguard this."
The aim of Khidmatul A’waam is to allow every Muslim to fulfill one of the pillars of Islam. And to make Hajj affordable to all. Unfortunately we face a grave challenge. At present the South African market is not conducive to facilitate affordable packages.
Our intention is solely to provide Hajj at an affordable package and to make Hajj accessible and a reality to one and all. Our intention is also not to be threat to any other Hajj operator.
Khidmatul A’waam hope to achieve viability with the right person and to achieve success in their venture on behalf of those we intend targeting and thus ensuring we meet our primary objectives.
To this day a legal framework (Constitution, Memorandum of Association, Internal Logistics, Business Plan and the registration of different subcommittees with Ameers heading each committee and a board of governors) has been structured.
Presently, the leaders that have been nominated in different structures voluntarily continue the good work and develop the outputs and frameworks for each service delivery component independently focusing on the noble task at hand, monitored by the board of governors headed by an Ameer.
We hope to network with various Ulemah, business people and organizations like you to build a team to market the organization to various people in the corridors of power who will realize our aim both nationally and internationally.
KhidmatuI A’waam is still in its infancy stage and will establish both internal and external audit functions.
The appointed executive will need trustee/director/governor teams regularly permitting for the operational projects, processors and planning to proceed unhindered to achieve the desired goals of KhidmatuI A’waam.
